Each year, on the Saturday before Labor Day, Local 225 hosts a family event for members, retirees, their families, and Council representatives. The 2017 event was a huge success! More than 150 people gathered at Local 225’s Union Hall and enjoyed good conversation, fellowship and tremendous authentic Latin food.
Many thanks to the efforts of Local 225 Council Representative and Business Manager, Jimmy Gibbs, and the Event Committee. They presented a 2017 Family Fiesta that was truly a celebration of our Union, our Council, and our Membership.
The day included bouncy houses and pony rides for the kids (a tremendous hit!), story-swapping by the retirees, and casual, relaxed conversation among members. Local 225’s Office Manager Gilbert Salmeron and his family cooked and expertly delivered on this year’s theme, “Family Fiesta.” Needless to say, a good time was had by all!
